Who we are

A dedicated Waste-to-Energy developer for Africa

Africa's dedicated Waste-to-Energy developer — financing, building and operating WtE infrastructure that powers communities while solving the waste crisis.

Unmanaged waste land in need of recovery
Our story

Born from a problem too big to ignore

Across Nigeria, millions of tonnes of waste go uncollected or end up in landfill, while communities live with unreliable power. Sector Lead was founded on a simple conviction: these are not two problems, but one opportunity.

By converting waste into energy, we cut pollution and methane, divert material from landfill, and deliver the dispatchable clean power our cities need to grow.

What drives us

Mission, vision & values

Mission

To solve the waste crisis and the energy deficit together — converting what we discard into clean, reliable power for African communities.

Vision

A cleaner, fully-powered Africa where no useful resource is wasted and the circular economy drives prosperity.

Values

Impact first, engineering rigour, local partnership, and uncompromising environmental responsibility.

Our approach

Focused, end-to-end, and built to be bankable

We don't dabble. Waste-to-Energy is what we do — and we do it across the full lifecycle, from feasibility and finance through construction and long-term operations.

  • We focus exclusively on Waste-to-Energy and its supporting value chain.
  • We finance, build and operate — owning outcomes end-to-end.
  • We structure bankable, IPP-grade projects with credible offtake.
  • We hire and train locally, creating jobs at every facility.
  • We measure success in tonnes diverted and megawatts delivered.
