Not every community needs a large thermal plant. For agricultural and peri-urban areas rich in organic waste, decentralised biogas can deliver clean cooking fuel and power exactly where it's needed.

Anaerobic digestion is simple in principle and demanding in practice. Consistent feedstock, careful operation, and community ownership make the difference between a unit that thrives and one that stalls.

Feedstock is everything

Food, agricultural and sewage waste all work as feedstock — but the mix and quality determine output. Getting separation right at the source keeps digesters healthy and gas yields predictable.

The nutrient-rich digestate that remains is no waste at all: returned to farmland, it closes the loop and improves the next harvest.

Ownership drives uptime

The most reliable community units are the ones the community runs. Training local operators and tying the benefits — fuel, power, fertiliser — directly to the people who maintain the plant is what keeps it running for years, not months.
